Fans of Outlander might have overlooked the cameo of a former cast member in a recent episode from the seventh season of Black Mirror.
Netflix released the latest season of Black Mirror just last week, and many viewers have already devoured the six new episodes from the ingenious mind of Charlie Brooker.
The episode titled Hotel Reverie is an homage to classic black-and-white Hollywood films. It features contemporary Hollywood star Brandy Friday (portrayed by Issa Rae) utilising cutting-edge technology to step into an old movie for a reboot.
This star-studded episode also includes performances from Awkwafina and Dame Harriet Walter, as well as The Crown's Emma Corrin playing the role of tragic Hollywood actress Dorothy Chambers/Clara Ryce-Lechere.
Once Brandy enters the vintage film Hotel Reverie via the AI technology Redream, she soon discovers that her co-star Dorothy/Clara possesses more awareness than she initially thought, reports the Scottish Daily Express.

In Hotel Reverie, Clara's husband Claude, who repeatedly tries but fails to end her life, is played by none other than Stanley Weber, known to Outlander fans as the enigmatic and villainous Comte St. Germain from the show's second season.
While the Comte met a gruesome fate in Outlander, the series' time-travelling premise and the character's ability to navigate different periods could potentially pave the way for a brief return, much like Master Raymond (Dominique Pinon) in the seventh season.
Since his stint in Outlander, Weber has been involved in a number of significant projects including Sky's Britannia alongside Yellowstone's Kelly Reilly, Berlin Station, The Runaway, and The Head.

The anthology series Black Mirror has previously cast Outlander actors, such as Tobias Menzies, who featured in the eerily prophetic episode titled The Waldo Moment.
In this episode, he portrayed MP Liam Monroe, who was defeated by the sarcastic animated blue bear, Waldo.
In a bleak turn of events, Waldo ended up ruling the world following an election that was essentially a popularity contest. The Waldo Moment foresaw the rise of figures like Boris Johnson and Donald Trump.
Andrew Gower, known for his role as Bonnie Prince Charlie in Outlander, appeared in the unsettling Black Mirror episode Crocodile, where he played Rob, a man inadvertently entangled in a hit-and-run murder and its subsequent cover-up.

Crocodile was set in a world where individuals were equipped with Black Mirror's futuristic Grain technology, which recorded everything a person or even an animal could see.
