Kuching: Datuk Amar Dr. Sim Kui Hian, the Deputy Premier of Sarawak, has announced a groundbreaking plan to revolutionize public health services. By 2026, all 271 public health clinics across the state will embrace digital transformation, marking a significant milestone in healthcare modernization.
In a Facebook post, Dr. Sim revealed that phase one of this ambitious initiative has already seen remarkable progress. Out of the 271 clinics, 175 have successfully gone digital, thanks to a RM10 million allocation for 2024-2025. This achievement is a testament to the state government's commitment to enhancing healthcare services.
The next phase, according to Dr. Sim, involves a strategic move towards healthcare artificial intelligence (AI). The focus will be on implementing AI applications in medical diagnostics, predictive analytics, telemedicine, and hospital efficiency.
